Clutch Slave Piston Kit(s)

Oberon Performance piston kits are designed for the rebuilding of damaged piston assemblies that can be found within Oberon’s range of clutch slave cylinders. Damage to any clutch slave cylinder, can be caused by a number of external sources, such as a push rod bearing failure as a given and common example. In most cases, the clutch slave cylinder itself can be saved and restored to working condition by replacing the entire internal assembly. This provides a much more cost-effective way and without the need to purchase a whole new complete unit.

Before purchasing a piston kit however, it is always recommended to contact Oberon Performance’s technical team prior where possible, to help qualify if the clutch slave cylinder is indeed faulty or not. Especially if you’re still able to change gear, find neutral and get drive from the rear wheel with the Oberon slave after bleeding the system. Most leaks for example are often misdiagnosed, especially if the ability to change gear remains functional. Likewise the loss of lever pressure suddenly or over time is hardly ever slave related.

If the problem and damage is confirmed as internal seal damage, and the reason of cause has been addressed to avoid repeat damage. Then simply choose the correct kit against the clutch slave cylinder part number from the list available. Each kit comes with instructions on how to safely install the restoration kit.
